The Studio Charging Cart is a highly specialised, UK-built film and TV production charging cart designed to replace bulky flight cases with one compact, organised, powered solution. Built primarily for lighting departments, this professional lighting cart allows equipment to be safely stored while charging — reducing floor clutter, speeding up prep, and keeping crews production-ready at all times.
For lighting teams, this means tube lights, batteries, and accessories are centrally stored, powered, and ready for rapid deployment. No more unpacking multiple cases to access chargers. No more tangled cables across the studio floor. Just a clean, efficient charging station designed for real set workflow.
The example shown demonstrates what’s possible. This configuration houses 32 tube lights, with six powered drawers on the opposite side, all wired via an integrated PowerCon distribution system to charge a variety of lighting products. Drawers remain open during charging to allow safe airflow, and secure with slam locks and key latch locks for transport. The PowerCon system and twin 3m 3-pin plugs are concealed behind a tambour door for a tidy, professional finish. Designed primarily for indoor studio and prep environments, optional rain covers are available for location load-ins.
